From a Rockabilly Festival to the beautiful coast of Gordens Bay and more, we had an stunning weekend fun of wonderful photo moments.

The vintage cars from the festival made exceptional  photos and I am truly a fan of vintage!

We traveled from Stellenbosch around the mountain all the way to Gordens Bay and back to Blouberg strand.

The day was perfect, the photos came out beautiful and I spent the whole weekend with my loving Boyfriend which made it even more special sharing natures beauty with him.

“The Inside Scoop” Part 10

Untitled2

A new and exciting “The Inside Scoop” has arrived on The Little Pink Book’s Blog!

The very first and most important thing for me at a wedding is the bride’s wedding dress.

It is super important for the bride to find her perfect dream wedding dress!

Everyone dreams about their big white wedding someday when they are small and for Natalee her time has finally come.

Choosing the perfect wedding dress should be a fun and joyous experience.

Here are a couple of tips from Anemike from Crystals and Creme Wedding Dress Boutique:

When do I start looking?

Make an appointment for your first fitting at least six to eight months prior to your wedding, maybe even earlier if you’d like.

This should be a very nice experience without feeling rushed at all.

What to expect?

Every Bride have an exact idea of what her dress will look like, but it’s only when you see yourself in a dress that you will know if it works or not.

I think each bride experience a total rush of emotions when seeing herself in her final design. There may be tears of joy and total love streaming down your face or you may only just smile broadly of happiness!

Who do I take with?

Only take along your mother or sister or maid of honour for your first fitting.

I believe you should have another pair of eyes as well as someone to share this phenomenal experience with.

At Crystals and Creme they believe that every bride is very special and deserves only the best!

Natalee has chosen them to design and make her dress and we are all excited to see the final result.

#photography – Explosions

IMG_4613

So every year on the 5th of November Guy Fawkes day is celebrated…

Although most people don’t know why this day is celebrated or who Guy Fawkes is, everyone take out their wallets and spend a few hundred rand on fireworks.

I took a few shots of the firework display in Bloubergstrand where the crouds grew by the minute and the explosions went on to midnight hours.

Wikipedia is a great source of knowledge and they say the following about this man:

“Guy Fawkes (13 April 1570 – 31 January 1606), also known as Guido Fawkes, the name he adopted while fighting for the Spanish in the Low Countries, was a member of a group of provincial English Catholics who planned the failed Gunpowder Plot of 1605.

Mint is starting to become more and more popular these days.

A lot of couples also incorporate this colour in their wedding.

The summer fashion here in South Africa also have beautiful items in a minty colour!

#photography – Friends Photo Shoot

Untitled19

I had the pleasure of photographing two of my very close friends.

They want to celebrate their friendship by capturing their faces together.

Soon they will be parting and thought it would be a great idea to take some photos of their giggles to last them a lifetime.

Because I know them very well I chose the venue that will suit them best.

We went to grass fields because they like a basic backdrop and they wanted the focus to be on them and not the background.

We when in the golden hour and took some amazing sunset photos!

They used a few props as well that represent them together and individually.

Outfit change was also a must for them and they played around with three different ones where we also did 3 different type of shots.
